At a Glance
In the Heart of the Dorset AONB
Armswell Farm sits in the Piddle Valley, one of Dorset's most beautiful and historically significant rural landscapes. The entire valley lies within the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The land here has been farmed for millennia. From the Iron Age fort on Nettlecombe Tout to the Anglo-Saxon charter boundaries that King Alfred established in 891 AD, this is a landscape shaped by agriculture. We are proud to continue that tradition.
The thin, free-draining chalk soils support rich pastures ideal for grazing livestock. The valley's winterbourne streams and the River Piddle itself create a unique ecosystem that supports abundant wildlife.
